Festival
Today, I will write about festival. There are many kinds of festival in the world. For example, traditional festival, music festival, food festival, etc. Especially, traditional festival is one of the most famous festivals in Japan.
Japanese traditional festival is known as “Matsuri”. The word, “Matsuri”, means an act of worshiping gods and ancestor to prey and console the spirits of the dead. One of the symbolic things is “Mikoshi”. “Mikoshi” is divine vehicle of god. It shapes rectangles typically, and its body which stands on two poles to carry is decorated. During “Matsuri”, people bear “Mikoshi” on their shoulders and worship god.
“Matsuri” held everywhere in Japan. Therefore, “Matsuri” helps to form national traits to value ancestor and god in Japan.

I felt like going to a traditional festival in this summer!
I realized again what Matsuri is in japan by your blog.
